The insistence of charter captains in Manistee led to the "Frosted Fern" especially our pro staffer, Frenchy. It is a simple appearing fly that uniquely changes colors and performed prodigiously in the waters off Manistee. Try white beads in the Frosted Fern early in the morning and then switch out to green beads later in the morning. (We are letting you in on a little charter captain secret.)
